How nice to be reading about him on BKW!

Hey to George - if you are reading this, I recently got back from visiting our mutual friend Sara in Boulder! Among other things, we had a great time looking through old bike shop photos, including some "bike sacrifices"! It brought back alot of memories.velogrrlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14264168671671364158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2821760991275369602.post-21718307475248993192008-11-18T17:42:00.000-06:002008-11-18T17:42:00.000-06:00This is how I learned about the internet.Seriously...This is how I learned about the internet.

Seriously. I was on a ride in the Fall of my Senior year at Notre Dame. A graduate student told us about Lance's ride just hours after he won. Up until that day, I had no interest in the 'net.

Now, I spend my days riding and reading about riding on BKW.

Thanks for the great memories.Jonathan C. I spent the days dreaming about racing glory (never happened) and George spent the days having fun learning the art of bike repair. I was so envious of the day he was allowed to build a wheel for a customer! I still remember the day he came into the shop and dropped the bomb he was quitting high school to wrench full time!

I would love to get an email addy to say "whats up dude"! Let him know he can contact me at jameyholstein@gmail.comjameyhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12206379938218795521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2821760991275369602.post-47168211130372193102007-11-28T08:27:00.000-06:002007-11-28T08:27:00.000-06:00Jayce. He got his degree from there rather than Evanston High School.

Learned French from the race radio in N. Quebec. The voices beckoned him to a higher calling. He's done good.

Happy Holidays, Georges!

Bill BassoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2821760991275369602.post-18584293068663057532007-11-27T15:48:00.000-06:002007-11-27T15:48:00.000-06:00Shout out to George. He built my Basso Gap for me in 1984, put Ron Keifel's Cinelli stem (ridden in the olympics) on the bike for me because it was the only one in the shop that fit. George was awesome....Astrid's Dadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16215689875883164220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2821760991275369602.post-62060466747325977322007-11-27T15:19:00.000-06:002007-11-27T15:19:00.000-06:00Its a shame that with all that preparation, lance ...Its a shame that with all that preparation, lance still went with "the Arsenio"steevohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12462665844197199544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2821760991275369602.post-82381268895112187832007-11-27T14:11:00.000-06:002007-11-27T14:11:00.000-06:00Great story - love these inside scoops!Great story - love these inside scoops!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
