One Year of BKW

On Sunday, November 25th, BKW arrived at the one year mark. Funny since this blog was born from the mere intention of entertaining friends and providing an expressive outlet for my cycling passion.

Over the past year, BKW's readerbase has continued to grow every month only to exceed my wildest expectations and reach a level I could not have imagined back in November 2006. BKW's readers drop in from all over the globe and I am continually flattered when BKW is linked to from other blogs or when bloggers spread the word for us by devoting bandwidth to BKW in their own space.

So, with one year under our belt, I want to thank you, BKW's readers and fellow bloggers, for spreading the word and for dropping in and spending some time with us each day. Your comments and participation give BKW a unique depth that makes it special.

Thanks for your support and we look forward to another enjoyable year.

- BKW

Hey BKW,
As a female Pro and having raced in Belgium myself, I highly enjoy your well written musings and outlook on cycling life. I've been a reader for a while now, and as of yesterday you have been added to my "Blogs of Note" section on my own blog. Thanks for the entertainment and here's to many more years!

:: Happy birthday, BKW ::
You share the 11/25 date with my son's birthday; he turned nine yesterday (Brian, Seattle)

...a tip of the old cycling cap to bkw...

...it's a wonderful, well written site & while each post is a complete thought unto itself, it's oft times just a starting point for those of us who like to weigh in...

...thank you for both the entertainment & the opportunity...continued success, bkw...

Thanks for a year of entertainment! How do we show our support to the world at large? When are the those labels/decals available? Maybe we need to put together a bkw jersey.

RF- It's been a great year indeed. I thank you for taking the time to have this space- you and Pat both. I also thank you for stopping by the booth in Vegas and chatting- it was one of the highlights of the show for me.

I look forward to seeing what year two brings to us all.

BKW always, has me remembering events of the past, creates subjects for conversation on the next ride, or dreaming of future rides.

Congrats Freddy! BKW is one of the best out there, and thanks for all of the entertainment. I mean the magazines don't even come close to the information we pick up from your website.

one of the best sites i check each day... for the honesty and passion that keeps us turning the cranks in all weather.

as for merch... shouldn't it be BKW branded embro? its not many on here will sticker their bikes and BKW shouldnt be left for the miscellaneous stuff drawer in the bike room. it should go with us on a ride.

In such a strange sport that is cycling you have managed to grab that ever elusive essence. There is so much more out there, so many things we have not spoken about. A year is nothing in todays world. I have a feeling there is lots more to come. Congrats to BKW and may 08 be another stellar one!

pure passion. somewhat similar to the "grimy handshake" that only a shoprat can truly know. you're insight and translation is a thing of beauty and an unmatched learning resource for the history of our sport. Thanks, www.bamacross.com is tuning in every day!
