Mavic Cosmic Carbone Ultimate

Mavic is poised to release a new Carbone for 2007. PRO teams rode these wheels discreetly as prototypes in the 2006 TDF and they have finally made it to prime time. The Saunier Duval team has been riding them in Mallorca and ROAD's very own Neil Brown had an opportunity to ride them. The wheels have a very "Lightweight" look to them, complete with tall hub flanges and kevlar spokes. If the wheels come with the optional Mavic Potection Program, Lightweight may have some issues at hand.

Check out this site: Roues Artisanales and all the crazy PRO action on it. There is also a piece on the 2008 Shimano group complete with updated pics of the electronic group.

A Statement From The Landis Camp

Flanked by team members of a different kind, Landis is again the underdog. He stands tall despite the odds, accusations, and challenges, and not to mention, the mountains, of beaurocracy. Tactically, I feel Floyd has played his cards well, relying on science and training data to support his claims. Undoubtedly, Floyd has a long way to go. My hope is the process moves quickly enough so Floyd has another shot at professional cycling.

Read more about Floyd's Power Training Camp and check out the sweet custom Pegoretti he's riding at Road Magazine. Thanks to Neil for the use of his photo.
