On the subject of the ASO's proprietary sense of ownership of the Tour de France, this may say it all. The Badger stepped in personally to remove this protestor, showing that more than 20 years after his last Tour victory, he still won't be intimidated.

and he's right! this is a race not a political event.
Wow. I suppose there are there more pictures of this?
I support ASO's decision to keep Astana out.
The Tour always seems to attract a lot of protestors. I wouldn't want to mess with the badger though
Here is some more quality Badger footage:

That is a great shot. Hinault was tough and temperamental in the 70s and 80s and apparently he still is. This incident makes me like him even more.
If there is anyone to listen (or watch) everything is a political event. What do you think politics is? Its all about manipulating opinions. Hinault was manipulating someone elses.
Good on you Badger.

Saw the coverage of the Badger on ITV, damn glad he sold the cattle and bought a bike. It's good to see him back.
if it were the TOC we would have a blow-up doll hanging from a fence post.
...props to monsieur 'le blaireau' for helping keep the riff-raff out of 'le tour'...
Would have been nice to see the badger execute a 6 point throw on this fool.
