Zirbel was flying. You got to ride in the team car for Zirbel? Awesome.

Guys, I've been loving your TOC blog, but how could BKW miss Thursday's epic stage into San Luis Obispo? Leipheimer called it one of the three hardest days he'd ever spent on a bike--seven hours in the freezing rain. Brrr. Pro.

Yesterday was one for the hardmen. Unfortunately, we had to get out and ride our own bikes. Looks like we picked the wrong day. - RF

Given the name of this site, surely Dominique Rollin deserves some kudos for winning bare-legged such an arduous stage that it had classics-lovers like Hincapie bundled up like eskimos?

There's something uber-cool about those hand written time sheets, listing some of the best riders in the world. I really enjoyed the stage too.

Dominique rode to an amazing finish in some horrendous weather. He did it despite some tough company. I hope it is a hint of what's to come. - RF
